Moultrie County wife gets DUI while bailing out husband for DUI –

Today’s tip of the day: Don’t drink and drive…and especially don’t drive drunk to the jail to bail out another DUI…or you might just earn your very own DUI.

From the “you have to read it to believe it” file:

Clarice Singer, the wife of Moultrie County Democrat Party Chairman Timothy Singer, was booked into the Moutrie County Jail on DUI charges approximately two and a half hours after her husband was booked for alleged DUI on November 3, 2019.

According to sources, Mrs. Singer drove to the Moultrie County Jail to bail out her husband for his DUI, and was promptly arrested for her own DUI.

The charge sheet shows she was booked at 3:18 a.m. (her husband was booked at 1:43 a.m.) – arrested by the same officer and booked by the same officer.

A jury trial is set for Feb 3, 2020, at 9 a.m.
