Former Mayor Pleads Guilty To Disorderly Conduct and Attempted Altering Data –

Poplar Grove, Ill. (ECWd) –

On March 31, 2026, former Poplar Grove Mayor plead guilty to one Class C Misdemeanor count of Disorderly Conduct and one Class A Misdemeanor count of Attempted Computer Tampering/Altering Data in Boone County Circuit Court.

He was sentenced to 12 months court supervision, fines of $1000, and 30 hours community service.

The first count comes from a public meeting incident between Sattler and Trustee Goings, the second count comes from another incident that we are not aware of at this time.
