Additional Indictments Against Former Illinois House Speaker Madigan and Michael McClain –

Chicago, IL. (ECWd) –

A new 117-page 23-Count superseding federal indictment was handed down on October 12, 2022, against former Illinois Speaker of the House, Mike Madigan.

From among the counts are allegations of:

  • Bribery,
  • Official Misconduct
  • Acceptance of money, etc.; prohibition
  • Legislative Misconduct
  • Extortion and interstate racketeering
  • others

Also in this indictment is a 2-Count Forfeiture Allegation, where the government is seeking Madigan/McClain forfeit $2,850,337.00 of proceeds from racketeering,

    Overt Acts:

    31. In furtherance of the conspiracy and to effect its objects and purposes, the defendant and his co-conspirators committed and caused to be committed the following
    overt acts, among others, within the Northern District of Illinois and elsewhere:

    a. On or about May 30, 2011, MADIGAN voted in favor of EIMA.
    b. On or about October 26, 2011, MADIGAN voted in favor of
    overriding the Governor of Illinois’s veto of EIMA.

    Madigan should have been in prison 30 years ago! He will die of old age or by his own hand before serving a day in prison!
