Good Government in Action - Northwestern Illinois Mayors meeting

Good Government in action was what we were able to be a part of last night during a meeting of approximately 40 Mayors and numerous Clerks in Oregon, Illinois in Northwest Illinois.

Keri-Lyn Krafthefer, partner with Ancel Glink, and ECWd's John Kraft and Kirk Allen were speaking.

The Northwestern Illinois Mayor's Association invited us to speak during their business meeting.  The invitation was the result of those who attended our Watchdog seminar at the Illinois Municipal League annual conference last year and felt the message we shared at the conference would benefit this group of Mayors and Clerks.

We appreciate when elected officials like those present last night take a true interest in ensuring an open and transparent government for the people they serve.  If Illinois had more officials like those we met last night things would look much brighter for the state's future.

We thank them for the positive representation of the people they serve and their willingness to engage in making things better for their community.
