Wesley Twp Supervisor to resign on Tuesday -

BY JOHN KRAFT & KIRK ALLEN

ON August 23, 2019

WILMINGTON, IL. (ECWd) -

According to the meeting agenda of a Special Meeting of the Wesley Township Board of Trustees, one of the items is to "Declare the vacancy of Township Official Positions and discussion of replacements" (read agenda here) - note the use of plurals in positions and replacements.

The meeting is at the Wesley Township building and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on August 27, 2019.

Additionally, the Daily Journal newspaper wrote an article describing that Supervisor Quigley is planning on resigning prior to the next township meeting, and Township Clerk Norton "would leave soon" also.

Quigley cited personal reasons, while Norton's father cited "overwhelming FOIA requests" as the reason.
