College of DuPage (ECWd) –
ECWd has confirmed the meeting scheduled for February 11, 2016 at the College of DuPage will be boycotted by the stale left-overs from the Breuder board.
In their continued display childish behavior, the Breuder three will knowingly and willfully fail to even entertain a discussion on a replacement trustee appointment, or even certain qualities they would like in a new trustee.
Diane McGuire, leading the charge off the cliff, thinks it is better to have someone else do their jobs for them.
What are they afraid of? Absolutely nothing can get done unless one of them votes for it. It must be a personal power trip for Birt, McGuire, and Wozniak.
The meeting has been canceled.
“So as not to disrupt the College students, administration and staff, nor to cause them to go through the trouble and expense of preparing the room for a meeting that has no chance to achieve a quorum, I am reluctantly cancelling this meeting,” Mazzochi said. “I had hoped everyone would be willing to put forth their best efforts to select the seventh Trustee. It remains disappointing that three willingly abdicated that responsibility before even coming to the table. Nevertheless, I look forward to establishing a productive working relationship with the future appointee, and working for the betterment of our College community.”

Well at least Trustee Mazzochi tried to have a meeting so that COD could select a new trustee. This is the first time that the State has had to take over an select a new trustee.
Pathetic excuses of elected trustees are Erin Birt, Dianne McGuire, and Joe Wozniak! Time marches on. Thankfully the boycotters Birt and McGuire’s terms are up in April 2017. Wozniak to follow in 2019.

… and Woz will be like a spare prick at a wedding if Liar McGuire and Birt are not reelected.

At least, they had the courtesy to notify the Vice-Chair of their intention to shirk their responsibilities once again.
Their absence comes as no surprise to anyone. I doubt anyone blocked off time on their schedule for this meeting that they could not use for other purposes.
We await the ICCB appointment of the 7th trustee to see how this will affect the board in the coming year.
