Clark County Park District Cancels Special Meeting -

BY JOHN KRAFT & KIRK ALLEN

ON August 2, 2014

CLARK CO., IL. (ECWd) -

Earlier this past week the Clark County Park District had scheduled a special meeting on August 5, 2014 to consider and take action on several leased lots:

V.                  New Business
a.       Approval of Resolution 2014-8-5 – Lots 9-13                         X
b.      Approval of Preliminary Plat for Lots 2-14                              X
c.       Approval of Covenants/Restrictions for Lots 2-14              X

That meeting was canceled - removed from their website.

No word yet on any rescheduling.

Makes you wonder if a state or federal agency got involved because of the USDA Soil Conservation Service's Land Use Agreement from 1970 stating that the property shall be for the "use of the public generally, and not limit its use to certain segments of the public or organized groups".

This cancellation also comes after my Freedom Of Information Act request for a different and recent document received referencing this property.

 "The 1970 Land Use Agreement"

The highlighted sections appear to be pretty straightforward…….not much wiggle room in there!
