I hear business is a little slow in the south end of town and maybe not because of the weather. Well you know what they say, paybacks are hell. You would think that Mr. Attitude would get the message, besides being overpriced on concrete, people will go out of town for a better price, we the people of Edgar County are getting real tired of his BS. We will hurt him where it counts, in the pocket. I don’t know who is pushing his buttons to keep up this fight, but he will lose in the end. We need to keep up the pressure on Isaf and Chris to do the right thing and either kick his butt off the county board or resign. There are too many jobs at risk and too many dollars at risk. Iasf grow some balls, kick Chris off county board. You want to run for judge, if you want my vote and I’m sure others will agree kick Chris off the board(s) and you may get our votes. The longer you hesitate in doing this the less likely you’ll get my vote. Also why in the heck would you want the meetings at 9:00 or 10:00 in the mornings. Gee you think it wes planned that way years ago so there wouldn’t be any problems with the working citizens of the county. No one can take of from work to go before the board and they can do what they darn well please. I say planned and fixed that way. Move the meetings to the evenings and see what happens with some of your shit that you vote on and pass without our concent.

Could you please explain what constitutes an illegal meeting? I am told these are taking place in a local bar but need clarification on what the statutes are.

If there is a majority of the quorum gathered together, and there is discussion of public business, it is an illegal meeting (unless a notice and agenda are posted 48 hours in advance).

For instance, the county board consists of 7 members – 4 is a quorum of the county board – 3 is a majority of a quorum of the county board – So if Chris, Ben, and Mike are in a bar and talking about public business (airport, etc…) it is an illegal meeting.
