Dolton, Ill. (ECWd) –
The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (“ILETSB”) has decertified Dolton, Illinois’ former Assistance Police Chief Lewis Lacey.
This comes after his plea of guilty in federal court of felony bankruptcy fraud.
After his indictment and termination from Dolton, the ILETSB listed him as “inactive” around August of 2024.
See the ILETSB grounds for revoking (decertifying) an officer (here).
Lacey is still awaiting sentencing on his plea deal.
