Chicago Police Officer Karol J. Chwiesiuk was Indicted on June 10, 2021 for his participation in entering the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Among the charges were:
- Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority
- Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds.

Per Shelby County Sheriff Koonce’s recent press release and impending retirement, Chicago legislators can step up to Cook County’s boards and dive in. If need be, Sangamon County’s seat can assure their hazards are removed before allowing the Home Ruler’s to resurface…even if that means keeping the water open through a big hole in the ice.
