The 700+ parents who have brought legal action against their local school districts, as well as the Governor, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education, by and through, Thomas De Vore, Attorney at Law, provide the following statement:
For over 21 months, parents have patiently tolerated overreach by Governor J.B. Pritzker and his administrative agents, while praying for the legislative branch of government, the people’s voice, to step forward and defend their God-given rights of due process ensconced in the U.S. Constitution, Illinois Constitution and applicable Illinois statutes.
As Governor J.B. Pritzker has continuously issued his one-man edicts, mandates, orders, and one size fits all guidance, all lacking any public discourse in which the people or their elected representatives could participate, the emotional health of children has suffered immensely. As the days and months passed, the goal posts continually moved further down the field, but one constant remained, people’s rights of due process under the law were shredded at every turn. The constant promise of a better tomorrow, if we all just do our part to ‘flatten the curve’, now rings hollow as children endure their third school year of capricious executive dictates, none of which have been deliberated upon and made into law by the legislature.
Parents will no longer sit idly by while Governor J.B. Pritzker rules by executive fiat, to say nothing of the simple fact that lawful requests for the executive to share the ‘facts and science’ on which his edicts are based go unanswered. This country was founded upon three coequal branches of government and the executive cannot rule like a king until he arbitrarily sees fit to relinquish control.
For these reasons, more than 700 Illinois parents brought legal action on behalf of their children, carrying out their parental duty to protect their children, and, indeed, all children of this State, from further transgressions by the executive branch of government. It’s far past time we restore the system of self-governance upon which this nation was founded. If the legislature won’t act to reign in these abuses, our only recourse to seek redress is the judiciary. Our children deserve no less.

Devore is the epitome of an ambulance chaser.
Provided that concern for duty, grandparents (which I am not) could keep a vigil for themselves that includes extreme caution (hyper social distance, redundant masks, etc.) when going out and about; and the establishment of a house rules that require visitors to show proof of being vaxed or tested for covid before entering their home. In the event that a vaxed visitor may be asymptomatic, or that the PCR test result was a false positive. They themselves could also readily assure the air condition in their home provides for a relaxing relative humidity that is greater than 40%.
It is my duty not to die from Covid. Who protects me?
You protect yourself. People are not obligated to protect others nor is it the government’s job to protect my health. While I am sure you will say it is, please cite the portion of the US Governments powers that include protecting my personal health.
Wait, after all the deaths and heartache, you are still so cold-hearted that you don’t admit some responsibility for your fellow men?

Wake up, Dennis! This is not a left / right issue, which is what they always want us to revert back to. Virtue over logic is what is blinding half of the country still watching MSM. This is simple self responsibility and liberty, which is what America is supposed to be about.
Why am I responsible for others’ health? There is nothing negative about speaking the truth or asking for actual laws to support a person’s position. This is not about left or right, conservative or liberal. When you and others make that the argument you lose.
As far as FOIA training, we don’t question who shows up. I suspect with this attitude there might have been people that say the same about you being there. Either side is wrong. If you cant have an honest discussion and dialog then so be it.
The “vaccine” is not a vaccine. It’s a medical treatment, much like other treatments available with far fewer risks. I have had COVID and had no issues because I took care of my health. I did not let someone else do it for me.
