Gov. Pritzker Activates Illinois National Guard at Request of City of Chicago
Guard To Help Chicago Police Department Manage Street Closures
Chicago – In response to a City of Chicago request, Governor JB Pritzker activated 375 Illinois National Guard soldiers for State Active Duty to assist the Chicago Police Department in protecting the City of Chicago and its residents. The Guard will carry out a limited mission to help manage street closures and will not interfere with peaceful protestors exercising their first amendment rights.
“At the request of Mayor Lori Lightfoot, I am activating the Illinois National Guard to support the City of Chicago in protecting our communities and keeping people safe,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “This is an immensely challenging moment for our city, our state, and our country, one born from decades and centuries of systemic racism. To those peacefully expressing the pain, fear, and rage of this moment, I hear you. Your voices matter. We must address the profound injustices in our society and bring about real and meaningful change.”

She is scary looking, even if the smallest dudess mayor around. Can you believe the foul stuff coming out of the little mouth. In response, I have a sentence for her in code also beginning with an F and ending with a U. “Face the music looters because the problem is yoU.”
I thought she was going to take people to jail who violated lock down.
She still can, depending on “who” that is. You know, deviants who exercise on the lake front, church attendees, and people partying on their private properties.
At least the merchants that got looted will get insurance money for their losses. Can’t say that about the losses incurred because of JB’s illegal EO’s!
How adorable that Lightfoot suddenly cares about first amendment rights. She didn’t seem that concerned about them when she was threatening churches.
Most people do not understand that you must defend unpopular speech. I’m not saying that churches are unpopular. I’m saying that Lightfoot is a tyrant and probably compromised by the deep state extortion ring like all high level democrats.
What will these tyrants not do to spin everything back to some injustice. If it’s injustice, then why this mayor, along w/ all leftist mayors, never admit that the people that always loot and cause violence are the same people who ALWAYS cause problems regardless of the issue at hand?
Wasn’t it on Friday that she went on a profane rant against the President for suggesting that these liberal mayors get a handle on their cities or he’ll bring in the military? Gee, how quickly she sees that she’s wrong at not going after those specific criminal elements.
I don’t understand why people are upset by the Mayor asking for the Gov. to activate the National Guard. The Mayor wants to be proactive. I don’t care what political party the Mayor is or the Gov. is the idea is to try to keep citizens safe and provide law & order.
REALLY? Did it work? NO, because it is all fluff. Sounds good but you will lick their wounds and coddle them so they don’t get their feelings hurt. They are sorry excuses for being a human being. In actuality they are more like animals. The truth is they have a political agenda going.
Oh the SPIN from a pandering tyrant. He is the racist using these planned riot events for political gain. We don’t need an Alinski wannabe running the state.
Uncivilized acts, theft, and destruction of property is not protesting…. its a crime wave. Pritzker and his ilk see white cop kill black man. I see corrupt cop kill a defenseless man
